आदित्य गोपाळ गुंड
अस्सल जुंदरी मातीत घोळलेलं आणि सातासमुद्रापार पोचलेलं एक अष्टपैलू व्यक्तीमत्व. मुळचा अभियांत्रिकी पदवीधर असलेला हा माणूस त्या क्षेत्रातील बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनीतील आपल्या उच्चपदस्थ कामाची जबाबदारी पार पाडता पाडता विविध क्षेत्रात लिलया मुक्तपणे संचारतो. त्याचं हे संचारणं फक्त त्याच्यापुरतं मर्यादीत नसून त्याच्या बहुआयामी व्यक्त होण्यातून, विविध माध्यमातून त्याच्या संपर्कात येणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाला तो त्या वैश्विक अनुभूतीचा निखळ आनंद देत असतो. हे त्याचं एक आगळंवेगळं बहुमोल वैशिष्ट्य.
पुण्यात शिक्षण घेत असताना पुरुषोत्तम करंडक वगैरेमध्ये सहभाग होताच. पुढे अमेरिकेत उच्चशिक्षण, त्यानंतर तिथेच नोकरी, पुन्हा भारतात परतून त्याच कंपनीचा आशियाचा प्रतिनिधी असा आदित्यचा आजवरचा व्यावसायिक जीवनातील प्रवास. कामानिमित्त विविध देशांत भ्रमंती करत असताना तेथील अनुभवांची प्रचिती इतरांनाही देण्याचा प्रयत्न आदित्य करत असतो. मग त्यात निरनिराळ्या देशात, शहरात मॅरथॉन धावणं असेल, विविध क्षेत्रातील लोकांच्या भेटीगाठी व त्यांचे किस्से असतील, अभियांत्रिकी कामाच्या माध्यमातून विविध शहरांच्या विकासाला नवी दिशा देणं असेल, विमानामधून काढलेल्या अफलातून छायाचित्रांनी पुण्यापासून चिन-अमेरिकेपर्यंत देशविदेशातील छायाचित्र प्रदर्शने गाजवणे असेल, त्याच्या मुशाफीरीची ही यादी न संपणारी आहे.
गेल्या दशकभराच्या विविधांगी दिर्घानुभवाच्या बळावर एक ब्लॉगर, स्तंभलेखक म्हणून आदित्यने स्वतःची एक वेगळी शैली विकसीत केली आहे. महास्पोर्ट्स या क्रिडाविषयक संकेतस्थळावर नियमितपणे प्रसिद्ध होणारी त्याची क्रिकेट व क्रिकेटपट्टूंच्या अप्रकाशित, अप्रसिद्ध पैलूंवर अनोखा प्रकाश टाकणारी ‘भारतीय क्रिकेटचे शापित शिलेदार’ ही लेखमाला प्रचंड लोकप्रिय ठरली आहे. लवकरच ती पुस्तकरुपातही वाचकांच्या भेटीस येत आहे. याशिवाय विविध संकेतस्थळे, फेसबुक, ट्विटर वगैरे सोशल माध्यमांतूनही आदित्यची मुशाफिरी सुरु असते. हे सर्व लेखन एकाच ठिकाणी सुलभतेने उपलब्ध असावे, ही मित्रमंडळी व वाचकांची गेल्या अनेक दिवसांपासूनची मागणी या संकेतस्थळाच्या माध्यमातून पूर्णत्वास नेत आहोत. हा प्रयत्न आपणा सर्वांच्या पसंतीस उतरेल अशी खात्री वाटते.

Aditya Gopal Gund
Hailing from the town of Junnar made famous as the birthplace of Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire in India, Aditya Gopal Gund is a multi-faceted personality who has successfully shouldered not only his professional responsibilities that of a high ranking official in a multinational company but through his passion for photography, keen observation and lucid language skills made sure that people coming in contact with him leave with a feeling that the world is their oyster!
After completing his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Pune, Aditya moved to the United States of America to pursue his post-graduation. Being appointed as a representative for Asia by his company Aditya moved to India. His work involves a lot of international travel. International travel and the experiences derived from this has been the basis for his travelogues, photographs and articles published in many online journals. His photographs have been exhibited in exhibitions ranging from Pune to China, USA etc. In the course of his professional work, he has been a proud contributor in several developmental projects in various cities in India and aboard.
In the past decade, Aditya has mixed work with pleasure and never let the monotony of work-travel get to him. The result has been that now Aditya has created a space for himself in the blogging work. Maha Sports – a sports related website hosts a series of articles written by him which talk about ‘would-be’ cricketers and has garnered a lot of publicity due to its novel subject matter. In the coming days, this series will be published as a book.
For quite some time now his friends, followers and fans wanted his photography, literature to be easily accessible and consolidated at one place. This website is an effort in that direction. We hope that this endeavor would also get your love and support.
